Supervision for Therapists

Quality supervision is essential.

I am passionate about working with clinicians who are motivated to self-reflect and deepen their clinical skills.

Perhaps you’re sick of working with stressed-out supervisors in an agency job. You crave a dedicated time each week to process and reflect on your cases without administration stress.

Past or current supervision may feel rushed and managerial. Or you just haven’t found the right fit in a supervisor yet.

I get it! I’ve been there.

Quality supervision is an integral part of clinical growth and self-care.

I encourage you to reach out today if you are interested in supervision with a psychodynamic, holistic, and decolonizing practice approach that focuses on trauma treatment (acute and developmental), depression, anxiety, grief and loss, ADHD, and relationship matters.

Like my work with clients, I approach supervision with curiosity and nonjudgment.

I want to learn about the unique way you think and approach clinical work as I support you on your journey.

Let’s talk about whether our supervisor/supervisee relationship would be beneficial.

FAQs about Supervision for Therapists

  • In DC, I am able to supervise both licensed and pre-licensed social work clinicians. While I currently don’t have the required training to practice as a supervisor in Virginia, I’m happy to engage in occasional consultation. If you practice in Virginia and feel that we could be a great fit, please feel free to reach out, and I would be open to discussing the possibility of completing the necessary training to supervise in this state.

  • Supervision involves a formal, ongoing relationship where the supervisor provides guidance, feedback, and support to a clinician’s development, often with a focus on case management and clinical growth. Consultation, on the other hand, is more flexible and focused on specific questions or cases without the ongoing structure of supervision. Consultation can be a one-time or occasional support, usually focused on providing guidance or troubleshooting in your clinical work.

It’s important to note that I do not yet have the required training to practice as a supervisor in MD and VA, so I offer consultation in those states, but I am unable to offer formal supervision. This ensures that we remain within ethical boundaries regarding the scope of my qualifications in those regions.

  • I work well with clinicians who are motivated to self-reflect and deepen their skills. I particularly value working with clinicians who are currently in therapy or have had experience in therapy, as this baseline of self-awareness supports meaningful self-reflection and professional growth. Whether you’re new to the field or more seasoned, if you’re looking for a space to process your cases without the stress of administrative duties, we may be a great fit.

  • My supervision rate equates to my full-fee rate of $250 for a 45-minute session. However, I recognize the importance of making this service accessible and am open to discussing a sliding scale arrangement if needed to accommodate individual circumstances.
